Mint green art deco drinks cabinet
This beautiful art deco cabinet i started its life as a bureau display cabinet.
When it arrived we knew it needed to be converting into a cocktail cabinet. So we removed all the pigeon hole compartments the internal electric light in the pull down compartment . Then the exciting part started.
We striped it completely back to the bare wood. To reveal the beautiful grain that was hidden beneath layers of varnish.
So as you can see we decided not to paint the entire piece because the grain was so beautiful it had to be shown off.
The main colour is brook
By fusion mineral paint a mint green a beautiful soft green tone , show next to the off white tone of goddess ashwagandga in the glass cabinet sections.
Inside the glass cupboard sections either side we have used the goddess ashwagandga for the sides top and base and decoupaged a beautiful oriental crane wallpaper to line the back panels which compliments the colours we have used on this piece.
Each section consists of 2 glass shelves that are movable , and a mirror base.
In the pulldown compartment we have added 3 pieces of new mirror .
Inside the middle compartment
There is a section to hold bottles and a shelf to store those important glasses.
The back panel is backed with metal gold leaf
Externally on either side we have stencilled a crane design using gold pigment paint and goddness ashwagandga .
The wood grain has been coated with osmo oil to nourish the wood and adds protection .
