To start with I have cleaned and sanded and then cleaned again before any work had started. In some place it needed a little repair but luckily enough not much .
So then came the decision on what colour to choose and I thought I don’t do much in green so I found two different shades of green which I thought would complement each other . So firstly I used fusion mineral paint park bench and secondly frenchic victory lane from their al fresco range.
I’ve used a blending technique to get a two toned effect on the drawers and the sides.
With added gold wax for around the drawers trim and in some places for added detail.
I’ve also added some gold leaf in a few places .
For the floral design I have used re-design prima ruby rose transfers and also their nature and script transfers.
I have added a vintage stencil using gold wax instead of using a gold paint as I think the gold wax makes the stencil stand out much more.
I have replaced the original handles as they were no longer any good for reuse .
And I found this lovely set that fitted perfectly so i gave them a good clean before adding them to This piece .
